Description
9080 Wheel loaders - Our heavyweight class
The wheel loader 9080 was designed for especially heavy material handling – such as, for example, constantly occurs at large companies and biogas plants, at silos or with a high number of big bales. Also in the area of recycling, industrial companies and municipal use, machines of this size class prove themselves best. The wheel loader impresses with a particularly roomy and comfortable cab, a color-oriented operating concept, the ergonomic multifunction joystick, a large 7" display and the easily measured-out hydraulic oil quantity adjustment by jog dial. Its view of the attachment and the immediate work area, outstanding for this size class, is remarkable. With the infinitely variable hydrostatic transmission Power Drive 370 (PD 370), high traction forces and driving speeds can be attained. This way, speeds of up to 40 km/h / 24.85 mph are possible without switching gears. This enables extremely comfortable driving.

HIGHLIGHTS
|
Highlights
30/40 km/h / 18.64/24.85 mph Driving speed
- With the appropriate motorization, the machine can optionally reach a speed of 30 or 40 km/h / 18.64/24.85 mph. This allows the machine to be moved from A to B quicker, which saves time, thereby increasing productivity.
|
Load arm damping with automatic function
- The loading swing damping can be activated electrically and enables optimum handling of the machine in rough terrain and during road travel. It is particularly advisable when the machine transports heavy loads in the bucket or on the pallet fork, or moves a heavy attachment over a long distance at high speed. Here, the loading swing damping provides a substantial increase in comfort for the operator.
- The loading swing damping can be switched off completely or switched on permanently. There is also an automatic function. Here, the jog dial is used to set the driving speed at which the loading swing damping is automatically activated. If the set driving speed is undershot again, the loading swing damping is also automatically deactivated.
- Lifting arm damping prevents the machine from rocking at high travel speeds. This increases safety for the operator and protects the vehicle components by absorbing shocks.
|
Power Drive 370: continuously variable hydrostatic transmission
- The Power Drive 370 is a continuously variable hydrostatic transmission that achieves higher tractive forces and travel speeds than previously developed solutions. This is achieved while retaining all the advantages of previous travel drives in terms of compactness, energy efficiency and operator comfort. With the Power Drive 370, speeds of up to 40 km/h are possible without shifting or changing gears. This enables comfortable driving, as there are no interruptions in tractive force.
- The Power Drive 370 transmission offers a thrust boost in the 30 km/h version. This option is particularly suitable for various jobs requiring power-intensive thrust.
|
Flexible trailer operation up to 18 t / 39,683 lb.
- The machine can tow a trailer with the optional trailer hitch. There are various systems to choose from: Automatic trailer hitch (fixed or height adjustable), K50 ball hitch, Piton-Fix trailer hitch and CUNA D3 trailer hitch.
- To move trailer loads safely, both a dual-circuit pneumatic brake and a hydraulic trailer brake are used.
- The ability to tow a trailer expands the machine's range of applications and offers greater flexibility, as no additional towing vehicle is required.
|
Jog Dial Control Element
- The Jog Dial control element enables various machine parameters and functions to be operated and read out via the display: For example, setting the loading swing arm oscillation damping, reading out the operating hours and machine information or tracking service intervals. The jog dial is positioned within easy reach of the operator's working area.
- If necessary, the flow rate of the hydraulic oil can be manually set using the jog dial control element. This is advantageous if the machine drives a hydraulic attachment, which does not require the full hydraulic performance of the machine. The operator can work with the machine and attachment very sensitively and in a resource-conserving way.
- When servicing is required, the jog dial can be used to quickly display the important error messages and necessary machine information. This speeds up diagnosis and reduces machine downtime.
|
Automatic air-conditioning system
- The automatic air conditioning system ensures a pleasant working climate inside the cab when outside temperatures are warm. A conventional air-conditioning system usually only cools at one stage, which can be regulated via the strength of the fan. The Weidemann automatic climate control system works with sensors and reduces or increases the interior temperature entirely according to the operator's specifications. This ensures a stable climate and has the advantage that the cab's air conditioning can be optimally adapted to the outside temperatures.
- The automatic climate control system increases comfort for the operator. It enables fatigue-free work by reducing the strain on the operator in warm outside temperatures.
